Nintendo has announced that it will release the new DSi portable console on April 2, three days before US Nintendo fans will be able to get one for themselves. The DSi will retail for $299, $100 more than the current RRP for the DS. The DSi will feature a range of new features though in a thinner, lighter, package. It will be available in black and white and will come with an internet browser built in. One negative though is that it dispenses with the Game Boy Advance cartridge space, killing backward compatibility. DSi owners thought will have access to an online store similar to the Wii Shop though. For all the details, check out the full press release from Nintendo below.
