V Australia Launches New Routes

Branson?s Aussie baby will become something more than a one-tick-pony before the year is out

There was much fan fare about the launch of new airline V Australia earlier this year. The airline helped bring ticket prices down on the popular Australia-US mainland route by up to half. Since it launched its Sydney and Brisbane to Los Angles flights, not much else has been said. That was until today, when a host of new routes were made official.

The heavily touted Johannesburg route will become a reality, but not from Sydney. Melbourne will get non-stop flights to South Africa?s biggest city from 13 March 2020. They will also get a service to LA LA Land from 1 December this year. Not expected was the announcement that Melbourne will also get non-stop flights to Phuket from 3 December this year as well.

Joining Melbourne with non-stop flights to Phuket is Brisbane from 22 November. No additional services were announced for Sydney. V Australia also announced that it had applied for slots to fly Australia to Fiji.

Tickets go on sale from 2pm today with special introductory rates.
