A UK-based student decided one day to come up with the ultimate urban skateboard, designed specifically to deal with the stair-blocked dead ends through the city of London. He's finally finished it, and boy is it slick.

The board basically consists of a deck with two pairs of wheels at either end. Each of the pairs move independently of each other, meaning the board can move along a variety of irregular surfaces, including stairs.

The board is constructed out of a mix of polymers like rubber and PVC, metals like aluminium, as well as bamboo.

More details about the build, as well as images of the other seven (!) prototypes, can be found at Lai's website here.
