Rambo the octopus, currently residing at Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium in Auckland, snaps photographs of visitors by pressing on a bright red button to activate a camera, held securely in a specially-designed rig. Visitors paid $2 for the privilege of having their picture taken by the 'octographer.'

It's no surprise that Rambo was able to adapt to the skill quickly. Octopuses are the first invertebrates known to use tools in nature, picking up discarded coconut shells and using them for shelter.

Rambo learned to press the button at the sound of a buzzer in about three attempts. But while she picked up the trait so quickly, she earned her name by fighting with the camera and the rig, crushing or tearing apart both, much to the chagrin of the people working on the project.
