Aussie Record: World's Most Expensive Home Brew Flight Simulator

Believe it or not, Aussie Matthew Sheil has recreated a 747 cockpit in a warehouse in Chipping Norton, New South Wales

Matthew Sheil's home brew 747 flight simulator:

Built from parts he bought and some that were donated, it cost Matthew Sheild, from Sydney, around $300,000 to build this gigantic, awesome, 747 flight simulator. The interior is kitted out with all the right buttons and has screens where the windows would be. It's kept in a warehouse in Chipping Norton for when the truck parts salesman decides he wants to go for a little flight.

Sheil rents the simulator out and donates any money he makes from it to the Royal Flying Doctors service. The Sydney Morning Herald has done a complete write up on Sheil with a great photo gallery. Check it out at the link below.
