Apple Updates Desktops, Introduces Wired Mini Keyboard

Same old case, much faster innards: The iMac, Mac Mini and Mac Pro get an update

It?s been a while but the Mac Pro and Mac Mini have finally been updated and the insides are now rather juicy. Unfortunately, the external appearance is exactly the same. That?s not to say they don?t look good, it just means that while the laptops and iMacs have gone for the new black/aluminium look, the Mini and Pro retain the aluminium only look.

The iMac meanwhile has also received some juicy inside updates and now only has one 20-inch model available. For those thinking of purchasing an iMac who want more than the basic model, you?ll now have to go for a 24-inch screen so make sure you have a big enough desk. In our experience, you will want to be about a meter away from it to make sure you don?t blind yourself after an hour of work.

Quietly, Apple also introduced a wired version of their mini keyboard. Now you can get the number pad-less version with USB ports and wires for the same price as the full-wired keyboard. Seems a bit odd that you pay the same price for less product, but it?s still a nice introduction. All we need now is a full size keyboard that?s wireless.
