Emirates has announced it will use the Airbus A380 to fly from Sydney to Auckland
With Emirates now flying the A380 into Sydney, it means that Kingsford-Smith becomes the first airport to get regular services from the A380 by all the current carriers using them. Qantas flies theirs to Los Angeles and London via Singapore, while Singapore Airlines flies theirs to London via Singapore as well.
The Emirates news also means that aviation buffs yearning to hop on an A380 but not wanting to travel far can do so. The trip from Sydney to Auckland is just three hours and will cost you around $700 return for economy.
Splurge for first class though and you?ll be on the only A380 that currently features shower facilities. Although on a three-hour flight, you?ll barely have time to get wet.
