The rumour train has finally left the station and the confirmation carriage just pulled in
According to Joystiq, Microsoft has stopped avoiding the issue of a new Draft-N wireless adapter en route for the Xbox 360. Beyond confirmation, details were scant, with Microsoft stating that the improved adapter would allow Xbox 360 owners to ?…seamlessly connect with their home network with the highest wireless ‘N’ technology?. Key factors such as price and an expected release date were not divulged.
Microsoft described the 802.11n adapter as ?another choice to consumers?, which tends to suggest that the current wireless adapter will be sold alongside the new model adapter. We can only hope that the $99.99 RRP of the current model wireless adapter will be dropped to a more affordable price and the N technology peripheral will follow suit.
