The world?s first 22nm chips announced for a 2011 release
President and chief executive officer of Intel, Paul Otellini, brandished a 22nm wafer during the keynote presentation at the Developer Forum. The associated press release sheds some extra light on the tech. The working silicon wafer contained both logic circuits and SRAM memory. The wafer is comprised of a single die that boasts more than 2.9 billion transistors and 364 million bits of SRAM memory.
