Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have developed an exciting proof of concept pf the thinnest, lightest solar cell ever made. The key to developing such a thin and light cell, according to MIT is a unique fabrication method.

America's favorite apocalypse returns next Tuesday. Today Bethesda released the launch trailer for Fallout 4, the eighth game exploring the post-nuclear wasteland. Moving the series away from the US West Coast where most of the games took place, and north of Fallout 3's District of Columbia, Fallout 4 puts our new protagonists just outside of Boston. And in the grim darkness of this alternate near-future, it looks like the greatest danger is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

If your car is a diesel, it will run. Liquid hydrogen, the fuel that powered the space shuttle's main engines, could work, says Manuel Martinez-Sanchez, an aeronautics and astronautics professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. But keeping hydrogen liquid requires maintaining it at a temperature below about -432°F. Storing it in a garage would be tricky, as would keeping it from freezing the engine.
