Just a quick one for all you PopSci gaming nuts. Sony today sent us a press release outlining the future plans for the PSP 3000, or PlayStation Portable for those who are not so nutty about gaming but just clicked on the story because they were entranced by the colours.
The PSP 3000 will be available soon in a range of colours. This now mirrors Nintendo's DS which also comes in a variety of colours. There was also a large announcement on the gaming front, with smash hit Little Big Planet set to hit the small screen. For the complete press release, see below.

In terms of features, nothing really beats Sony in terms of their PSP and PS3 consoles. The PS3 is pretty much the equivalent of a PC, with its net play, blu-ray DVD player and hard drive among other features, while the PSP could be akin to a mobile phone.
Not sure if the new colour concepts will change much, but I'm sure sales will be as high as ever once again this year, mainly due to the release of new titles which would ordinarily be on the PS3 only.
