A while back Fifth Gear did a speed comparison between a Formula 1 car, a superbike and a powerboat to see which could accelerate quickly enough. The result isn't really surprising but it's amazing to see just how quickly the F1 car pulls away after they all start at a similar speed. Enjoy!

0 out of 0 people found this comment helpfulThat test has actually been done. The Ferrari F1 team put 7x world champion Michael Schumacher up against a 747 and a fighter jet. The F1 holds its own for the first few hundred metres and then gets completely blown out of the water (by the fighter jet anyway, the 747 run was much closer).
