The lovable and extremely intelligent friend of Popular Science, Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, claims that it?s almost certain intelligent alien life forms exist
When presenter David Kosch asked Dr Karl ?Is there life like us? Is there intelligent life??, his answer was: ?Almost certainly but it?s impossible to prove. In our galaxy there are 400,000 million stars. And there are about 400,000 million galaxies. There are so many stars and planets out there that somewhere there must be life. But it?s impossible to prove. They are so far away and we are trapped by the speed of light. We have not sent humans further than the moon. To try and get to another star, where life would be? And they could be in the same boat as us.?
Dr Karl doesn?t think there are aliens hanging close by to earth though, unless they are waiting for us to evolve further. But being that even planets close by harbour the possibility of life evolving from them, it?s almost certain it?s happened elsewhere? in a galaxy far, far away.
