Hackers are constantly gaining access to millions of email and password combinations at a time, from popular email services run by Google and Yahoo. Often the leaks come from third-party sites where you use your email account to sign in.

This week brought news of 40 million new emails being leaked and circulated as part of a collection of nearly 300 million total emails. Were you part of it? Maybe.

Not every "leak" is full of new information, but if you're like me, you may not even realize your information was leaked two years ago.

Haveibeenpwned.com is a site that collects all the leaks and provides an easy way to find out if your information has been leaked. Check now!

And change your password regularly, either way.
