Now a team of European researchers has found that everyone's favorite little blue pill can prevent malaria because of the way an enzyme affects red blood cells, according to a study published in PLOS Pathogens.

When it comes to treating cancer, all tumors are not created equal. Within every cancer type - whether it be in the bone or the breast - each patient has a unique set of mutations that cause their cells to be cancerous. That means therapies need to be personally tailored to each individual in order to be most effective.

Trials for a prostate cancer drug in the US has been shut down, after the first batch of results proved so promising it was deemed unfair to then not provide the drug to the rest of the participants in the trial.
