The next batch of supplies is targeted to launch to the International Space Station on March 22, and there will be some fun science experiments inside. The supplies will be delivered by Orbital ATK's Cygnus spacecraft, which will ride into space on an Atlas 5 rocket.
In December, Orbital ATK finally resumed launching cargo to the International Space Station, after an explosion in 2014 left the company grounded for over a year. The company's Cygnus spacecraft carried 7,000 pounds of supplies and experiments to the orbiting laboratory, and now its work is done. On Friday, it will undock from the space station and die a fiery death as it re-enters Earth's atmosphere.
Space has never looked so good. Just one day after private spaceflight company Orbital ATK's Cygnus spacecraft docked with the ISS, NASA released the amazing video above, showing the spacecraft's preparation and launch.
