Samsung has announced three new models to add to its lineup of notebooks - the QX series, the RF series and the SF series. We haven’t had a chance to test any of these units yet, but the press release offers the following information:
QX Series: This Core i5-driven notebook is made for professionals - it’s thin (27mm), light (1.99kg on the 13″ model) and stylish (scratch-resistant aluminium airfoil) and runs for 6.9 hours. From $1,499
RF Series: Made for multimedia, this Core i7-drive notebook has a 16:9 display that’s made for HD video playback. With an option to install either an nVidia GT330M (1GB memory) or a GT420M (2GB memory), we’re guessing this series is the one to pick if you’re going to do some gaming. From $1,799
SF Series: The stylish one (that’s what the ‘S’ stands for, no?). This notebook comes with either a Core i3 or i5 processor (the i5 will set you back an extra $200). Interestingly, the Core i3 model with a 320GB HDD and 512MB of RAM costs exactly the same as the Core i3 model with a 500GB and 1GB of RAM - both are listed as $1,299! (we’ll obviously update if this is a mistake). From $1,299
