According to Virgin, the six-hour flight went off without a hitch as the crews tested onboard systems and collected flight data. Of course, we’ll be seriously impressed when Virgin finally turns Enterprise loose on its first glide, but no hard date has been set for that milestone flight. However, there have been a handful of test flights over the last month culminating with last week’s crewed dress rehearsal, so a full-on test glide - and in turn a new era of civilian space flight - may not be so very far away.
