We are eleven days away from the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The seventh film in the long-running space opera franchise is the first in a decade, and might even be the first good Star Wars film since Return of the Jedi came out in 1983. Taking place 30 years after the destruction of the second Death Star, The Force Awakens is poised to give fans much of what they loved about the original trilogy: amazing dogfights with starfighters.

In this clip taken from the international TV spot, we see Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron leading a squadron of Resistance fighters against Imperial-esque First Order TIE Fighters. Notable in the clip is the diversity of the crew.

The original Empire had some dark, human-centric policies, with non-human species kept out of the military. The one time in the Original Trilogy where we do see the Empire directly employ non-humans, they're just freelance bounty hunters on contract. The Rebellion, instead, appeared to have non-humans at every level in its military establishment, including famously Admiral Ackbar, a Mon Calamari. With just this narrow glimpse into The Force Awakens, it appears the inclusivity to the rebellion continues.
