With a background in computer science and fashion design, Sydneysider Davina Reichman may be uniquely qualified to launch the country’s first wearable iPad clothing range.
Dubbed iClothing by Reichman and her creative partner, fashion designer Luke Staley, the initial range includes his-and-hers cotton t-shirts and a short-sleeved business dress.
Each piece has a snug, padded and reinforced iPad pouch that offers protection to your new toy with minimal discomfort.
“We decided to keep things simple and utilitarian as possible, mainly as the product itself is a functioning tool as well as fun and fashionable for iPad lovers around the world,” the designers say.
As for the Aussie influence, a couple of local marsupials provided the inspiration for the placement of the pocket.
“The iTee & iDress were inspired by the pouches on kangaroos and koalas. It was designed with the practicalities of keeping it hands free. You can hardly notice the iPad when it’s in there, it is so comfortable,” Reichman adds.
The first batch of iClothing sold out ahead of the iPad launch, but you can still order one at the company’s website.
