We don’t need cumbersome laptops anymore because we’ve got netbooks and even computers that can slip into our bags or pockets. The current technological trend for consumer lifestyle products seems to be to fit as much functionality into a single device as possible. But what about giving your clothes a technological upgrade?
According to Engadget, one motivated modder and his missis have merged the everyday T-shirt with email notification functionality. Making use of a combination of LEDs, an Arduino Lilypad microcontroller and a Bluetooth dongle, the ‘you’ve got mail’ shirt lets the wearer know when their inbox requires attention.
