Fold-out laptop concept aids those with bigger digits

As computer technology gets faster and smaller the ever-popular laptop reaps many of the advantages of these leaps and bounds. But one of the main problems with reducing the physical size of notebooks is the synonymous reduction in keyboard size. For those with larger digits, the reduced keyboard size of modern notebooks and netbooks is frustrating and problematic to say the least.

Yang Yongchang has posted his concept for the potential future of laptop technology at Yanko Design, which takes into account the desire for a decent-size keyboard. The iWeb 2.0 concept laptop makes use of a fold-out keyboard that means hypothetical users can enjoy the benefits of a compact notebook, without having to worry about getting their phalanges around an impractically small keyboard.

The iWeb 2.0 concept also boasts a 16:9 capable 6.5-inch multi-point touchscreen that would allow zooming and other image manipulation functionality. Let us know if you consider the iWeb 2.0 to be practical and if you’ve had trouble with typing accuracy on the ever-decreasing size of notebook/netbook keyboards.
