PSP 3000 to Come in Colours

Sony have announced a range of colours for the PSP 3000 as well as some big game titles

Just a quick one for all you PopSci gaming nuts. Sony today sent us a press release outlining the future plans for the PSP 3000, or PlayStation Portable for those who are not so nutty about gaming but just clicked on the story because they were entranced by the colours.

The PSP 3000 will be available soon in a range of colours. This now mirrors Nintendo’s DS which also comes in a variety of colours. There was also a large announcement on the gaming front, with smash hit Little Big Planet set to hit the small screen. For the complete press release, see below.

Sony Computer Entertainment Australia (SCE Aust.) today announced a huge and colourful year for its PSP? PlayStation?Portable) handheld entertainment system with the arrival of some big-name titles in 2009 for Australia. LittleBigPlanet? and MotorStorm?, previously only available on PLAYSTATION?3, will be coming to PSP this year, joining the ranks of popular PlayStation? franchises such as the ever entertaining Buzz!?

Those who like to give their mind a workout and their creativity an outlet will find themselves enchanted by the unique world of LittleBigPlanet which allows players to create their own levels and share them with the community. Petrol-heads with a taste for danger can experience the wild world of MotorStorm: Arctic Edge. The brutal offroad racing game goes off-piste, with an Arctic adventure in its most extreme location yet! And quiz maestro Buzz is back on PSP, searching for the smartest people in the country, in Buzz! Brain of Oz.
