Olaya Herrera Airport in Medellin, Colombia’s second largest city, was the scene of a terrifying accident when a plane carrying law enforcement officers was blown up. The plane split into two and it?s not known if any serious injuries have been reported. Eight people are known to have been wounded.
Rather than being an act of terror or related to the Columbian drug rings, the explosion was a direct result of a police officers misfortune. A grenade that was packed inside the officer?s brief case accidentally exploded, ripping the plane in two.
